“Appalachian Brewing Company is excited once again to be the presenting sponsor of Harrisburg Beer Week. Our brewery will be 19 years old this spring, and we are inspired by the growth that craft beer has had over that time,” said Artie Tafoya, Director of Operations, Appalachian Brewing Company.

“This event has become a great tribute to the region’s beer production and a fantastic fundraiser for Harrisburg River Rescue. We hope you have an opportunity to get out and discover our craft beer community.”

Harrisburg River Rescue will take part in the celebration once again as Beer Week’s sole beneficiary and will hold an open house at their headquarters during the festivities.

“Being involved in Beer Week has provided us an ongoing relationship with other individuals who share an innovative passion for bettering our city and strengthening support of those local assets that make our city prosper,” said Tony Reigle, Harrisburg River Rescue Lieutenant.

“We are extremely excited to be able to open our doors to the public for a featured event,” said Reigle. “The event will allow us the opportunity to share our mission and what it is that we do, the equipment we use and where the fund from last year’s event has been utilized.”

Along with the signature events, there will be a variety of craft beercentric events, including PA Flavor, that will take place in bars, restaurants and local business throughout the area.

PR / Marketing Intern

I am a sports fanatic, music lover, outdoor enthusiast and beer advocate born and raised in sunny San Diego, CA. While I am not out exploring San Diego’s craft beer scene, I can be found hanging out at the beach with friends or attending southern California’s many live music events. My passion for craft beer was inherited from my father while home brewing together in their garage. I continued to share his passion for craft beer with friends while attending college in Los Angeles, where I was able to explore the craft beer scene outside of San Diego. In the future, I hope to be involved in Marketing/ Event Planning for the craft beer industry so I can spread my love and passion for beer with the larger San Diego community. I am an avid sports fan and can be seen sharing a pint with other aliens at local Padre and Charger games!
