Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. FMB 101 Kölsch Review
4.6Overall Score

Humans, if you’re anything like us, you’re digging this warm weather! To beat the heat, we got our long fingers on the FMB 101 Kölsch style ale by Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co., which has been perfect way to cool down. This beer was inspired by the beautiful Highway 101 that runs along the coast of California, Oregon, and all the way up to Washington state.

“California means sand, surf and sun on the “101”, and the Central Coast is no exception. Here the mountains meet the sea so we brewed this Kölsch-style beer as the best of both worlds.” – Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co.

Appearance: A light golden color with some cloudiness and pours with a thin head that dissipates fairly quickly.

Aroma: A slightly fruity and hoppy aroma that is not overwhelming.

Taste: Very crisp, well balanced, minimal hops aftertaste.

Mouthfeel:  Light and refreshing, medium carbonation, glides over the palette.

Overall: This beer comes in cans which makes it the perfect beer to keep stocked in the fridge to have after a long day or even for a warm day by the beach. Bring it to a BBQ, have it by the pool, or with dinner. This beer goes well with just about anything.
