Culture Brewing Company has just recently bottled their Keyhole IPA for a limited time release. This mosaic IPA is infused with roasted grapefruit rinds creating a tart citrus forward beer that has the Aliens day dreaming of summer.
Culture Brewing Co. Keyhole IPA
Appearance: We poured this beer out of a 22oz. bomber into a 5oz. taster glass. The color was similar to that of apple juice with a minimal bright white head that dissipated into a thin layer of micro-bubbles.
Aroma: Mouthwatering scents of grapefruit right up front with notes of lemon and juicy orange following through.
Flavor: This beer is all grapefruit, it’s the first thing you taste and lingers on the tongue. Flavors of orange juice and some tropical fruits hide in the background with a sugary sweet characteristic coming through.
Mouthfeel: Decent carbonation with a smooth finish, the grapefruit and bitter hops coat the tongue allowing the flavor to linger on.
Overall: For the Aliens this beer was seriously on the verge of being a sour IPA, the amount of grapefruit in this beer was a bit overwhelming but if you’re a human that loves grapefruit beers than you should absolutely hit the road and grab this beer at one of the Culture Brewing Co. tasting rooms!
