Cascade Brewing will be releasing Cranberry 2016 next Tuesday, October 11 in bottle and draft at both pubs and through their distribution network. This Northwest sour ale is a blend of wheat ales that were aged in oak wine barrels for up to 14 months with cranberries, orange peel and cinnamon.
Using cranberries grown along the Oregon Coast, the 2016 blend offers brilliant cranberry fruit flavor with soft spice notes that offer refreshment through every season of the year.
6.6% ABV, $7/glass, $20/bottle.
Also on October 11, Cascade Brewing will release Mulled Apple Sour on draft at the Barrel House. This a seasonal blend of blond and red ales aged in oak wine barrels for 14 months with vanilla bean and spices, then sweetened with fresh apple cider and honey.
Served hot, this fall offering features flavors of mulled cider, apple pie and warm holiday spices. This will be a limited draft run until the release of their Glueh Kriek mulled cherry beer, also served hot, around Thanksgiving.
7.1% ABV, $8/glass.
