WHAT: Calling all cheese and craft beer lovers! DTLA’s Boomtown Brewery is pleased to present their first beer and cheese pairing event with Vagabond Cheese Company, on Wednesday, August 2.

Guests at the event will experience a selection of four Boomtown craft beers and four hand-selected cheeses from Vagabond Cheese Company and a Certified Cheese Professional (yes, that’s a real title), Alex Ourieff who is the host for the night.

The cheese plate and taster flight will be available for purchase. Once you buy the cheese plate, you’ll head over to the bar, where you can purchase the flight. There your cheeses will be perfectly paired with Boomtown’s own crafted beer.

WHEN: Wednesday, August 2nd from 6PM-10PM. Open to the public, Cheese plates and beer flights are available for purchase.

In February 2017, DTLA’s Boomtown Brewery officially launched its brand-new taproom adjacent to its brewery and current event space. The taproom features 12 custom Boomtown beers, games, food trucks and an impressive DJ lineup! Highlights of the space include two bars: one in the front area and one in the event space, a collection of retro and contemporary and castoff furniture that collectively creates a seamless flow and a David Bowie tribute mural featured on the outside patio. Vagabond Cheese Company is a nomadic cheese shop based in Los Angeles. Vagabond’s very own Alex Ourieff competed in the 2016 Cheesemonger Invitational in San Francisco, which showcased cheesemongers from all over and put their skills to the test. In the competition, Alex was given the task of pairing Cremeux des Citeaux and Tarentaise from Spring Brook Farm with just about anything he could think of. After intense competition with over 40 mongers, he was named the First Runner-Up!
