The Amber is one of Karl Strauss Brewing’s year round brews, and is is a prime example of an Amber Ale done right.

The beer is very clear with strong coppery coloring, with a moderately sized light foam head.

Aroma is of a sweet caramel scent with heavy grains.

Flavor is malty with candied undertones. Nice bold tones of caramel and small hints of hops. The hinted hops play nicely throughout the beer and give it just the right amount of kick.. Carbonation is aggressive but pleasant. Leaves a dry kind of chalky aftertaste.

Though this beer is straightforward, I enjoy it. It is well-crafted and particularly suited for good session drinking. I think its malty character and balanced tone will be quite nice in the upcoming Autumn seasons.
